Happy Sunday! Today I was able to stop by the Teen Choice Awards at The Forum and grab this beautiful shot of Evvie. She remembered me from when we visited The Four at CBS Studios, it made my whole night. Honestly, it tripped me out to see all these kids in full-blown makeup. I couldn’t deal.

Afterward, I was stoked to see the new Spike Lee movie, BlacKkKlansman, with my brother. I was so sad to miss this screening last week and everybody was raving about it. It also got a 97% on Rotten Tomatoes which is totally not normal, so we were down. We hit the 5:30pm showing at Pacific Theaters Glendale which is the most glorious mall to spend a Sunday. There were so many happy people.

IMDB plot: Ron Stallworth, an African-American police officer from Colorado, successfully managed to infiltrate the local Ku Klux Klan and became the head of the local chapter.

This summary doesn’t even begin to do the film justice, but it’s pretty much highlighting how terrible our society was during the reign of Ku Klux Klan and the racism that ensued. All the actors KILLED it. The movie is about 2 hours and 15 minutes so it’s a commitment, but you’re engaged the entire time. It’s definitely a drama, but also a comedy. There were so many moments that were so ironic, you had to laugh out loud.

This was honestly a huge eye-opener on the world as we see it. I couldn’t help but think about the Donald Trump movies to come. America is in a fucked up place right now. Go see this!
