Happy Saturday. I had another bad day lmao 🙁 got a flat. Spent 3 hours at America’s Tire in Glendale. I’m convinced I’m cursed. Shout out to Corey for going to the movies with me, I hella had to get out the crib. We hit up Happy Death Day 2U at Regal LA Live at 10:20pm. I literally screamed within the first 10 minutes. Smh.
This is the sequel to the first Happy Death Day, which I for the life of me can’t remember if I’ve seen. Knowing me, I probably have. I used to have the Moviepass & seriously saw everything out just because I could. Anyways, this film definitely had a lot to do with the first one, but it’s just pure entertainment. Shout out to the actress Jessica Rothe, she literally killed this. There was a crying scene where I was like wow.
IMDB plot: Tree Gelbman discovers that dying over and over was surprisingly easier than the dangers that lie ahead.
This is a comedy/thriller & the plot is pretty interesting. She literally relives the same day… over and over. I could not even imagine. It’s pretty morbid too. Lots of death & blood — 2 things that I’m actually terrified of. Besides that, it had a great life message that I really fucked with. There’s a scene where she’s reminded that pain & loss is part of what makes her who is she is, & erasing the past won’t do anything. Facts.
The film got 66% on Rotten Tomatoes which is pretty average. It’s an hour & 40 minutes. It was chill. Maybe wait for Netflix though lmao.
