Deadpool 2 = movie of the year. No lie, this film is epic. This shits on Avengers: Infinity War. I don’t even know where to begin. Let’s start with thanking Marvel for this incredible piece of work. It’s a solid 2 hours long (without credits) and it was entertaining the entire 120 minutes. Even when the film ended, NO ONE got up. Everyone stayed through the credits. Since this was opening night, it made sense all the die-hards were in this theater. I got home at midnight, and it was so worth it. So worth bragging to all my co-workers tomorrow about seeing the film before they did. It’s lit lmao.
First off, if you saw the first Deadpool, and you didn’t like it, something’s wrong with you. You have no sense of humor. You have no soul lmao. I feel like I can’t even articulate how epic these films are. Ryan Reynolds kills this shit. I remember I saw the first one with my bro in Irvine when he used to live down there. Tonight, I was actually invited to a screening but I couldn’t make to Weho on time. I had so much FOMO so I hit up the broskee. We literally debated for like an hour if we were going to do it or nah. Shout out to his roomie for being the determining factor. 9pm at Arclight Hollywood. WE OUT.

This turned into 9:15pm. Thank goodness they had a showing 15 minutes later, because opening night was nuts. The hype is real. What I couldn’t handle was that tickets were $18. This was prime movie watching hour, so they made tickets more expensive. Blasphemy. I’m so cheap. But my bro has a parking pass so at least that was free lmao. Shout out to Dashiell for letting me use his Arclight Rewards #, we got the free upgrade on the popcorn but the fact that they don’t give refills is trash. We’re paying for a meal basically. There’s 3 of us. It’s just not right. Arclight HW way too bougie for me lmao.
OKAY. Back to the movie. I don’t know where to begin!! It’s just epic. That’s the only word I can think of. Every fucking joke is so strategic and so clever and so perfect. The entire film is stacked with jokes from every single character. This needs no explanation but here’s the IMDB plot in case:

If you like Marvel, if you like superhero movies, if you like comics, if you like movies in general, this is for you. Don’t think you have to see the first one either, this will be bomb regardless. I literally didn’t know the majority of the cameos but by the reaction of the audience, it was fucking lit. Def stay for the scenes after the credit. It makes the whole movie worth it. Go see this. For the culture.

Then we hit mad traffic on the way home. Why LA? Also still can’t believe I saw 2 movies today (Upgrade was the other). But Deadpool 2 is movie of the year.
