Sunday, May 20th
Happy Sunday! Today was the day we got to visit The Happy Place, which I was able to look forward to the entire month of May. This is pretty self-explanatory: a massive pop-up experience filled with larger than life-size installations, multi-sensory immersive rooms, and dozens of moments curated to Capture Your Happy. Founded by Jared Paul, it actually popped up at the tail-end of last year. It did so well that it had to come back. This time, it was bigger and better than ever, taking over the Event Deck at L.A. Live.

This actually comes in perfect timing for May’s Mental Health Awareness Month. Honestly, going on a Sunday and being surrounded by so much joy was exactly what the doctor ordered. We were immersed in smiles from friends, couples, families — you name it! Our reservation was for the 3:30pm slot, which quickly began to fill up. Each room is so unique and creative, it honestly made me appreciate the experience so much more. The goal is to spread happiness, in a world with so much distress.
I used to joke and call this place an IG thirst trap, but it’s honestly so much more. The exhibit is open until May 27th, so I highly recommend you get tickets before it’s too late! It’s such a great family outing with loved ones. Shout out to my baby girl Noor for being my date and pushing me to take pics and boomerangs because I’m camera shy. We also saw a proposal take place in this rubber ducky tub! I almost cried. Seriously. It was a beautiful moment and had everyone cheering and clapping.
Huge thanks to Ana, Teresa, and the entire team for having us! We’ll be back. 🙂
