Post Malone Brings Out Swae Lee, Tyga, Miguel, 21 Savage & Quavo At Hollywood Bowl

June 28, 2018

Wednesday, June 28th

Happy Hump Day! I’m obsessed with Dame Dash‘s dog, governor. Obsessed.

Tonight marks night 1 of 2 sold out shows at the Hollywood Bowl with a true rockstar: Post Malone. Honestly, I’ve been skipping out on concerts, but I’m so glad I came tonight. This reminded me why I love music. I was bumping Beerbongs & Bentleys on my way home from work and completely forgot how fire this album is. This man kills every song he’s on, and has the greatest personality ever. Huge thanks to Stef for this and my babygirl Noor for getting me out! Issa vibe.

Our seats were in the very front row of the second tier and gave us a bird’s eye view of the stage. I hate getting to this venue, but it’s so worth it once you’re in. Posty takes the stage a little after 9:30pm with all the fog and the lights, and started off with “Too Young.” Hell yeah. This is my shit. Next was “Better Now” and “Takin’ Shots,” which had the crowd geeked. Being that we were in LA, we were hella trying to guess which artists he was going to bring out. He ended up stunting on us hard.

Swae Lee was first, which started with “Spoil My Night.” “Powerglide” was just the bonus. Then Post performed “Candy Paint,” which again had me saying “I LOVE THIS SONG.” And then I realized I was saying that after each song, and had to ban myself lmao. Bringing out Tyga was a wrap. “Taste” is the song of the summer. Next, Post slows it down with his guitar and performs “Paranoid,” my go-to emo record. Post Malone fans are the best. Everyone is singing and dancing. Pure joy. “Feeling Whitney,” “Stay,” and “Go Flex” were next.

SPLISH. Miguel came out for “Sky Walker.” We weren’t ready for that one, but we were so here for it. Then he brought out YG for “Same Bitches” and an acoustic “Big Bank.”  We couldn’t tell if the bass was off on purpose or not, but it slapped. Of course, 21 Savage had to come back out for “rockstar” (def missed him opening). Next was “White Iverson,” which was the song that put me on Post Malone. This record was on repeat for months. He’s come so fucking far, and gave the most heartfelt, motivational speech about how he proved everyone who said he wasn’t gonna make it wrong.

“Congratulations” was the grand finale. This song literally warms my heart every single time. I didn’t even notice Quavo was up on stage until way later because I was enjoying the song so much. He closed out by saying his real name, Austin Richard Post, the same way he opened the show. Shout out to a real rockstar.
