Holy fucking shit, I definitely just saw the movie of the year. If you haven’t heard of A Star Is Born, please peep the trailer. I actually didn’t even know it existed until yesterday, but everyone around me was raving about it. Just from word of mouth alone, I knew Lady Gaga stars alongside Bradley Cooper, which is a recipe for success. First off, Lady Gaga started off in broadway and musicals before she became a pop star. This is literally her natural habitat.
IMDB plot: A musician helps a young singer and actress find fame, even as age and alcoholism send his own career into a downward spiral.
I literally want EVERYONE to go see this, especially those in the music industry. It’s so fucking inspiring, motivating, enlightening, but also shares the reality of what artists go through away from the camera. The issues of mental health and addiction continue to plague us no matter what our stature, and I really think this film came at the perfect time. The message is so heavy. Rest in peace to Mac Miller and Lil Peep, who both based away from overdose.
A STAR IS BORN WAS SO FUCKING GOOD 😭

We hit the 8:40pm showing at Regal LA Live, which was a completely packed theater. Makes sense for opening night, and the movie having 90% ratings. Huge thanks to Ari for being my date, we fucking loved it. I honestly think it should have gotten 100%.
The film runs for about 2 hours and 17 minutes, and I was engaged every fucking second. I actually had to tinkle in the first hour and literally was trying to hold it because I didn’t want to miss anything. That never happens with me! The movie takes you on a emotional rollercoaster, I definitely cried at the end. You probably will too. Please go see this, and then text me so we can talk about it!
