Instant Family Is Both Hilarious & Heartwarming

Happy Thanksgiving! This year went fucking fast. I can’t believe it’s that time of year. Anyways. Touched down in the Bay today & have been hiding (and working) since. Convinced my brother to see Instant Family because I love both Mark Wahlberg and Rose Bryne, especially when they’re starring in a comedy.

Rotten Tomatoes plot: When Pete and Ellie decide to start a family, they stumble into the world of foster care adoption. They hope to take in one small child but when they meet three siblings, including a rebellious 15 year old girl, they find themselves speeding from zero to three kids overnight.

This was actually perfect for Thanksgiving, because everyone is home spending time with their families. Still not close with mines at all but trying my best to make up for lost time. We hit the 9:30pm showing at AMC Mercado 20 in Santa Clara, where I frequented all throughout high school. Every time I come home, it seems like the city keep getting renovated and modernized.

The film is both hilarious and heartwarming. Especially for foster kids or if you’re adopted, this will definitely hit a soft spot. It’s a solid two hours but very entertaining the entire time. Would def recommend it if you’re bored. Also beyond thankful, and hope to work my ass off to one day repay my rents for all they’ve done.
