Signed to Young Dolph’s Paper Route Empire and residing in Atlanta to further his career, the “Yea!!” rapper fits in no category and created his own lane that others rapper can only attempt to emulate.

Self-titled the “smoothest, coolest, flyest, highest, youngest to ever do it,” the rapper, real name Markeyvius Cathey gets his name from the streets, taking on different monikers: Glizzok, Mr. Glock, etc.

Growing up in a household with all women and no father figure, Key Glock was 7 years-old when he had to step up and learn how to do everything on his own.

Fast forward to 2018, the 21-year-old is mobbing around Los Angeles with his label boss (Dolph) by his side, making lasting impressions each stop along the way.

For those who missed it, Glockoma is still going crazy.

AllHipHop: “Major” w/ Young Dolph is at over 27M on YouTube alone. Did you foresee it blowing up like this?

Key Glock Oh yeah, we knew it was going to be major. It still be going major.

AllHipHop: Take us back to that studio session.

Key Glock We always work, it just was nothing but good vibes. It’s never any negativity around me because I don’t allow that.

AllHipHop: When you were 18, you served a 90-day jail sentence. Greatest lesson learned from jail?

Key Glock Can’t count on nobody. Can’t depend on nobody, that’s for sure. While you’re in, you can’t count or depend on nobody on the outside. Let alone on the inside, that’s for sure.

AllHipHop: What is it you want fans to get from your story?

Key Glock I just want them to get music. I ain’t faking nothing, just letting them know what it is.

AllHipHop: What are some goals yourself as an artist at this point in your career?

Key Glock I’ma to get money regardless. I just like making people happy, like my family and fans. I just like putting smiles on people’s faces.

AllHipHop: 3 things you need in the studio?

Key Glock My glock, some smoke, and some drink.
