‘Avengers: Endgame’ is 3 hours of pure entertainment

April 26, 2019

Thursday, April 25th

Happy Thursday. I can’t believe it’s the fucking end of April. Time is passing by and honestly, life is a lot rn. Today marks the 17th death anniversary of Left Eye, and I was so excited to publish this interview with Eastwood. He literally told me Lisa pulled up with an onion, and proceeded to roll a joint. That might be one of the best stories I’ve heard all year.

Fast forward through the work day, yoga, and PnB Rock‘s listening, which is the reason I was late to Avengers: Endgame. I was literally on my way out & Lil Uzi walked in. He had the biggest smile. That’s a legend right there. Roddy Ricch was there too. I’m excited for TrapStar Turnt PopStar, I love Rock’s music.

But anyways, Avengers time. Shout out to Duncan for copping tickets, we got them super last minute. We hit the 9:50pm showing at Regal L.A. Live, and I was laughing inside because every single theater was Avengers. When we got out, I saw people walking into a 1:40am screening. I heard there were 4am screenings. Wtf! This is literally the biggest movie of our generation it feels like. They even had to open the parking lot across the way because the main one was full.

Which makes sense because the movie is 3 hours long. People are gonna be camped out for at least 4 hours. It still pisses me off that parking is $8 here, but it is what it is. Also pause, I feel bad ’cause I thought there was no post-credits scene, but just saw something that said: “Avengers: Endgame Doesn’t Have A Post-Credits Scene, But There Is Something At The End.” Oops, sorry Duncan lmao.

IMDB plot: After the devastating events of Avengers: Infinity War (2018), the universe is in ruins. With the help of remaining allies, the Avengers assemble once more in order to undo Thanos’ actions and restore order to the universe.

Sooooo I definitely walked in late & feel like I missed a good chunk, but the best part is that you really don’t have to know everything that’s happening. Because it’s so entertaining! The jokes are literally knee-slappers, and they happen like every minute. Beyond that, the production in this film is unbelievable. Every fucking scene was cinematic. I couldn’t get over it.

This is the sequel to Avengers: Infinity War, which I remember liking. I def struggled with the characters (or should I say superheroes). Crazy part is I see almost all the Marvel movies that come out, my memory is just trash. I don’t know why but I still love Ironman. Tony Stark is just so funny to me. Spider-Man, Captain America, fucking Black Panther! That was epic.

Overall, you have to go see this. This is literally the hype of the weekend. The 3 hours is totally doable too. They did a great job with balancing action, humor, and life. Shout out to Stan Lee’s last scene in the film, he lived a great life. I was thinking about his legacy and how we should all strive to impact the universe like he did. Also warning: you may cry.
