Happy Saturday. Today is Star Wars day, also the day before Cinco De Mayo. I had to have dental surgery today 🙁 it was brutal. Painful, terrifying, all the above. Ran errands, and then finally got to hit the movies in the evening. Shout out to Josh for hanging out with me, this was all I wanted to do tonight. We saw Long Shot, which we both ended up fucking loving. If you haven’t heard of this movie, you’re about to.

We hit the 9:15pm showing at AMC Atlantic Times Square 14, which was actually a full crowd. Makes sense since it’s opening weekend, but also finally the hype of Avengers: Endgame is finally simmering away. (Kind of). I’m just so happy to finally see a chick flick. This was comedy also, but more or less a romantic love story. It gives hope to the basic bitches lmao.
IMDB plot: When Fred Flarsky reunites with his first crush, one of the most influential women in the world, Charlotte Field, he charms her. As she prepares to make a run for the Presidency, Charlotte hires Fred as her speechwriter and sparks fly.
Shout out to the director Jonathan Levine, I honestly thought it was incredibly shot. The plot was perfect and relatable, and the jokes were the cherry on top. Of course, Seth Rogen is a god & plays the nerdy guy that Charlize Theron falls in love w/. Pretty much, she’s a Secretary of State who’s running to be a badass female president, and Seth is somehow by her side the entire time. It’s 2 hours & 5 minutes of pure entertainment. I really enjoyed it.
Please if you get a chance, go see this. <3
