‘Men in Black: International’ Was Not As Bad At All

Sunday, June 30th

Happy Sunday! Just got back from the movies w/ my brother. We actually really enjoyed Men in Black: International. It got the shittiest reviews, which made us super hesitant. Rotten Tomatoes gave it like a 22%, but we’re convinced it’s just the mean critics. We hit the 3:10pm showing at Regal L.A. Live because I have plans tonight… day movies are actually super lit.

The theater was nice & empty lmao. There were like 10 people total, and we were all laughing at the jokes. The film is about 2 hours long, and it’s entertaining more than anything. I guess it’s the sequel to the original Men in Black with Will Smith? Or a reboot? Who knows. All I know is Tessa Thompson is fire af. She was in Creed and a bunch of others. I love her.

IMDB plot: The Men in Black have always protected the Earth from the scum of the universe. In this new adventure, they tackle their biggest threat to date: a mole in the Men in Black organization.

Chris Hemsworth plays the other Men in Black, aka Thor. This actually reminded me of Toy Story 4, which I saw last night (so cute). Pretty much they’re on a mission to save the world. There’s definitely aliens, and some scenes definitely screamed green screen. I think they coulda done a better job w/ the picture, but overall it was cute. I’d recommend it only if you’re bored.
