‘The Addams Family’ Was Fucking Adorable

Happy Thursday. This week has been ROUGH. For real, being bipolar is a bitch. I’ve gone through the highest of highs and lowest of lows. Today I did something extremely rare and drove to Santa Monica today to interview Elohim & we chatted extensively about anxiety & mental health. Her energy, her personality, her beauty made my entire day. She reminded me that life is too short to be hung up on the bullshit… effortlessly.

Fast forward through my typically busy day, which included yoga, interviewing Ambjaay, stopping by Shoe Palace’s most lit event to date (with New Balance & Kawhi Leonard), & I finally reach my happy place: the movies. Shout out to Riley, my ride or die. She wanted to see The Addam’s Family & we finally got around to it. Honestly had no expectations & we fucking loved it. It was so adorable! We hit the 9:15pm showing at AMC Burbank 16.

IMDB plot: An animated version of Charles Addams’ series of cartoons about a peculiar, ghoulish family.

Tbh, I don’t remember the actual Addam’s Family movie. All I knew was that was in real life, & this one’s animated. It was literally the perfect amount of entertainment for us, because we were both going through it (life). The movie got only 70% on Rotton Tomatoes but I think it should have been higher. It was honestly so cute & the theme of family came into light at the very end — so essential. Family is everything!

Growing up I was never close with my family, but now I have my brother and my few friends I call family. When I get depressed, my mind likes to trick me and tell me I have nobody. But now I just have to remind myself and have the manpower to not listen to that voice. ANYWAYS, this movie is only an hour 27 minutes which is the perfect length for any film. Just found out Charlize Theron plays the mom, Morticia Addams, but it’s their daughter Wednesday that had us rolling.

This movie is so cute! 10000x better than Gemini Man lmao.
