Saturday, October 19th
I just realized it’s almost end of October… that shit’s so crazy. It’s about to be 2020. I can’t deal. I’m so old 🙁 ANYWAYS… successfully saw my third movie in a row tonight. Shout out to Duncan, he was dying to see the new Zombieland: Double Tap. So was the rest of the world apparently, the hype for this is real. Even my bro & his friends went tonight, that means the movie is important.
We hit the 9:30pm showing at AMC Atlantic 14 in Monterey Park. I love this theater, it’s so calm. Last time I was here was for trash ass Gemini Man lmao. Our theater was crowded but not all the way like Maleficent was. But then again, Disney trumps all.
IMDB plot: Columbus, Tallahassee, Wichita, and Little Rock move to the American heartland as they face off against evolved zombies, fellow survivors, and the growing pains of the snarky makeshift family.
Where to begin? First off, this is an all-star cast. Woody Harrelson, Jesse Eisenberg, Emma Stone… lit. Second of all, this is the sequel to the original Zombieland, which released 10 years ago. That’s a whole decade, we’re so old! As with any zombie movie, it’s human against zombies trying to survive in what’s left of the world. It’s an hour and 38 minutes of pure entertainment. Definitely laughed out loud and numerous occasions.
There was an endearing life message at the end about family. Always appreciate those reminders. <3 I also def smoked before the movie so that helped. I recommend this fasho!
