‘Terminator: Dark Fate’ Was… Alright

November 3, 2019

Sunday, November 3rd

Happy Sunday! Yesterday I was at Complexcon early af & decided to skip today — still managed to have an even busier day. Worked, interviewed Angela Yee who I literally admire so much, went to Kanye’s Sunday Service, ran on the treadmill, then went to the movies with my bro. Honestly, he was so faded I was surprised he was down. I think he felt bad so he said yes lmao but we watched Terminator: Dark Fate. Def think this was the movie of the weekend and it was… aiiiite.

Didn’t know much about this film other than the fact that it’s the sequel to the classic Arnold Schwarzenegger film. My bro was quoting his famous saying in Arnold’s deep voice & I didn’t get it at all. But anyways! This film got really high ratings on Rotten Tomatoes, like 85%. I thought it was okay. It’s 2 hours and 8 minutes so you’re def in there for a minute. The action is really fire, and there were some really funny moments that had the theater busting up. Other than that, it was entertaining I guess.

IMDB plot: Sarah Connor and a hybrid cyborg human must protect a young girl from a newly modified liquid Terminator from the future.

We hit the 8pm IMAX showing at AMC Burbank 16 & were late af. But then you start to realize you don’t really miss anything if you’re late lmao so that never affects our decisions to commit. Linda Hamilton returns as Sarah Connor & there’s definitely a nostalgia factor for anyone who loved the first film. Idk, some scenes you could tell were green screen. The end is cool though, definitely lots of action.

Honestly wish I saw the Tyrese movie, Black and Blue, instead. I will say I’m so happy I finally made it out to Sunday Service though, that shit was beautiful.
