I am so obsessed with this movie! I feel like I’ve lucked out recently seeing three bomb ass movies three nights in a row. This is literally only because I fractured my wrist, I don’t usually see movies on the weekdays. Tonight, my brother and I went to go see Knives Out. Our entire theater was packed, we had to sit in the second row at the end. And then you remember that AMC Theaters (and Regal) is half off on Tuesdays… life hack for anyone who didn’t know.
We hit the 7:50pm showing at AMC Burbank 16 which was literally packed by midday. That just shows you the hype of this movie in itself: it came out on Thanksgiving and still people can’t get enough of it. I had a few people see it and tell me how fucking great it was, and that they would even go again just to see it with me. I’m just glad I caught this before I left theaters.
IMDB plot: A detective investigates the death of a patriarch of an eccentric, combative family.
It’s basically a murder mystery/comedy… mostly the latter. Our entire theater was literally cracking up and laughing out loud at almost every joke. Whoever wrote the script, props to them. The film is made up of an all-star cast consisting of Daniel Craig, Chris Evans, Ana de Armas, Jamie Lee Curtis, Michael Shannon… literally the list goes on. It’s 2 hours 10 minutes long but it’s so fucking entertaining I can’t get over it.
It’s also so brilliant how everything ties together. The plot twists are crazy and make the movie what it is. Definitely go see this, highly recommended!
