Scarlett Johansson Slays In Marvel’s ‘Black Widow’

Hi world! Ya girl is using her AMC A-list Stubs membership uppppp. 3 movies a week for $25/a month… you can’t beat that. Honestly I’m typically hella busy on the weekdays, but I couldn’t sleep last night so I’d been working since 8am. Went to yoga & finally got to hang out with my girl Ashley! We’ve been friends forever & we both leveled up in our careers, it was so nice to reminisce. She hit me about Black Widow, which I had no idea what movie that was. But she said Scarlett Johansson & I was immediately sold. Plus it’s Marvel!

Where do I begin?! First off, we hit the 9:10pm showing at AMC Burbank 16. Literally just saw Roadrunner here the other night, the documentary on Anthony Bourdain’s life. This theater was huge & only a few people were present, but the actual movie was LIT. I was into it the whole 2 hours & 14 minutes, + I usually hate when movies are over 2 hours. Marvel is so entertaining though, hella action & hella humor. I think that’s my favorite part, the comedy & endless jokes.

IMDB plot: Natasha Romanoff confronts the darker parts of her ledger when a dangerous conspiracy with ties to her past arises.

Tbh, I’m not entirely sure how this plays into the whole Marvel Avengers series, but the movie itself is so good it doesn’t really matter. There’s a ton of underlying themes from family to morals, but also some crazy plot twists that keep you on the edge of your seat. Scarlett plays big sister to a character played by Florence Pugh, who also did a phenomenal job. Pretty much the villain is a guy named Dreykov who goes into hiding in a place called Red Room, brainwashing all these females around the world to fight & kill for him. Scarlett’s whole motive in the film is to find Dreykov & kill him. Exciting right?! I have such a girl crush on Scarlett…

I actually have to head out to an event so this is mad short but I really did enjoy this movie! I would definitely recommend, it’s such a great escape from reality for a sec.
