‘Venom: Let There Be Carnage’ Was Fireeee

October 10, 2021

Saturday, October 9th

Wowwww, time is flying. How is it already October?! I can’t make any sense of this. Anyways, FINALLY made it to the movies!! Is it weird I’m excited? I guess I am paying for AMC’s Stubs A-list membership, where I get 3 movies a week for $25. I haven’t been able to go because of my crazy busy schedule. Recently made the conscious decision to slow down & not go to as many events or concerts. Hot yoga saved my mental health. Speaking of, it’s #WorldMentalHealthDay. Hope everyone is prioritizing self-care!

Soooo I saw the movie theater at the Americana in Glendale turned into an AMC, & I had to peep! Turns out, it’s the same exact theater only now it’s AMC lmao. So anti-climatic. Venom: Let There Be Carnage was the talk of the weekend, also the best movie out rn. I had the pleasure of hitting a No Time To Die screening before it hit theaters, that shit was long af. Anyways! We hit the 8:15pm showing at AMC Americana at Brand 18, it was packed packed. We sat in the second row.

IMDB plot: Eddie Brock attempts to reignite his career by interviewing serial killer Cletus Kasady, who becomes the host of the symbiote Carnage and escapes prison after a failed execution.

For those who don’t know, this is the sequel to the Venom that came out in 2018. What really shook me was the entire premise of the “Venom” creature. He’s literally attached to Tom Hardy, the main actor in the film. You don’t need to see the first one to enjoy this, it’s definitely entertaining on its own. I’d definitely give it a good 7/10. The best part was it’s only an hour 37 minutes long. All movies should be this length!

Definitely not your typical superhero movie, but there’s tons of jokes and life messages. Love, revenge, the whole 9 yards. I’d recommend though, if you need a good movie to hit the theaters for!
