You guys!! Shout out to my movie reviews on fomoblog.com, I’m hyped rn. Backstory: I went to see The Addams Family 2 tonight with my girl Rilee. When I tell you it was so good!! So cute & great life messages. Yes, 30 years old going to watch a cartoon movie on a Friday night. ANYWAYS, I’m embarrassed to tell this story now. Basically, I’ve been really insecure about how trash my memory is. Maybe it’s the weed, maybe it’s the excess blacking out and drug use from my wild partying days in high school, but it definitely bums me out. Tonight, I literally asked my girl if she saw the first Addams Family… she goes “yeah, we saw it together.”
SHOOK. I was like wowwwwww. I ain’t shit, & my memory is literally trash. BUT good thing I wrote a blog about it back in 2019 when we went to see the first one. The first The Addams Family on the big screen! Good thing I loved it then too, per the headline: ‘The Addams Family’ Was Fucking Adorable.” For the first time I’m so excited to be able to read this blog back to jog my memory. I appreciate myself for being consistent with these, & always wonder if people even read them. Definitely think I get the most traction from Facebook though.

We hit the 9:45pm showing at AMC Burbank 16, the same movie theater we went to 2 years ago! We saw that one on October 18th, 2019, wow lmao. Too much of a coincidence. Hilarious too because I definitely at one point in the movie, my girl’s eyes were closed. I woke her up from my laugh. First off, I get mad offended when people fall asleep in movies when it’s my idea. Damn, you don’t like the movie I picked? Wassup? She blamed it on the weed though. We were definitely high, but a good high. The perfect high you need to be before you watch a movie like Addams Family.
IMDB plot: The Addams get tangled up in more wacky adventures and find themselves involved in hilarious run-ins with all sorts of unsuspecting characters. Sequel to the 2019 animated film, ‘The Addams Family’.
As mentioned, this is the lovely sequel. Had no idea Snoop Dogg was the voice of their cousin It. Charlize Theron plays the mom, and I think I heard Megan Thee Stallion on the soundtrack. Wednesday is my favorite character. She’s the daughter with the braids that has this extremely dark side to her, which is one thing every member of the Addams family has in common. The plot’s pretty interesting: this random guy claims to be Wednesday’s real father and faked a DNA test in an effort to steal Wednesday to help him take over the world. Wild, but so great.
Also, it was only an hour 33 minutes long. The perfect length! It’s almost 1am, I actually just got home & gave a review on the livesteaming app Caffeine: caf.tv/shirleystemple. If you guys want to tune in. <3
