‘Ghostbusters: Afterlife’ Put Me To Sleep

January 15, 2022

Friday, January 14th

I can’t believe we’re halfway through January already! Life is crazy.  Last night, went to go see the new Ghostbusters: Afterlife w/ bae. We both were dosing off lmao. First off, there was NOBODY in our theater! We went to Harkins by his spot in Chino Hills, at 10:25pm. No one was in there, shook. Mind you, I had like 3 edible gummies. I feel like I was lit for majority of the evening but when it came time to sleep, my ass was UP!! Thoughts a million miles per hour in my head, this is why I can’t take edibles!! Does this happen to anyone else?

IMDB plot: When a single mom and her two kids arrive in a small town, they begin to discover their connection to the original Ghostbusters and the secret legacy their grandfather left behind.

Anyways, this movie is a remake of the original Ghostbusters from 1984. That’s so long ago! And so nostalgic, everyone knows the song. Paul Rudd is in it, probably the most recognizable actor in the film. It felt a little bit like Spider-Man in the sense that they brought back the original Ghostbusters, that part was dope. Other than that… SNOOZE. 2 hours and 4 minutes of snooze lmao.

I’m looking at the reviews on Rotten Tomatoes now: the left side says 65% & the right side says 95%. Holy shit didn’t expect that high of a rating but I’d definitely more agree with the left side. This movie was cute… but boring. We were literally snoozing. Hey, can’t win them all! There’s not that many fire movies out rn but yeah, save your money. I think it’s available on streaming if you really have the desire.

Before the movie I had the pleasure of interviewing & attending NLE Choppa’s listening. His new album #MEVSME is dropping & I just have so much love for the kid. His chain is himself meditating!! GOALS.
