Sunday January 31st
Wow!! It’s February & I’m so behind on life. Or at least it feels like it. This blog will be about Nightmare Alley, which I saw on Sunday. We hit the 9:30pm showing at AMC Americana at Brand 18, which recently turned into an AMC. Honestly lame excuse for an AMC lmao they didn’t even have gourmet cheddar popcorn!! I was so sad. But the movie was fire!

IMDB plot: An ambitious carny with a talent for manipulating people with a few well-chosen words hooks up with a female psychiatrist who is even more dangerous than he is.
First thing that comes to mind: Bradley Cooper deserves an Oscar! He is such an incredible actor & undeniably talented at what he does. Shout out to the director Guillermo del Toro, this is a remake of the 1947 film. It was originally a novel in 1946. The movie came out last year I believe, & it must be that good to be in theaters this long.
It starts out with Bradley Cooper learning about what it means to be a mentalist, and pretending to read people’s minds. Only he’s a fraud!! It’s crazy how accurate his “guesses” are when reading someone. He then steps into this role where he puts on shows & awes people with his mind-reading skills, with his female accomplice subtly feeding him hints. This film is honestly interesting as hell & takes you on a rollercoaster ride as his actions catch up to him. Karma is real.
While Bradley’s out here performing these circus shows, he’s actually getting played by this female psychiatrist. There’s a crazy twist in the movie!! Definitely would recommend. It is 2.5 hours so you’re definitely strapped in, but we were into it the whole entire time.
