Happy Sunday!! I’m in Seattle rn at the airport. Had such a beautiful time in the city this weekend, my girl Kylie got married. We went down to the water twice & the area we were staying at was so adorable. Shout out to Hotel Ballard, there was a farmer’s market right outside on this beautiful Sunday. The wedding reception was so heartwarming & full of love, definitely holding onto this moment!
Last night, everyone went to the brewery so we decided to hit the movies. Majestic Theatre was walking distance from our hotel!! Holla. It was literally 0.2 miles away, that made me so happy. I love being able to walk places, plus we had no car. We went to see The Woman King, which came out last weekend I believe. Viola Davis is the star, and she absolutely annihilated her role. We hit the 7:15pm showing, it was a super cute boutique theater. There were only a few people with us… definitely had to get my popcorn, because it’s a 2 hour 15 minute movie.
the woman king was fire.

IMDB plot: A historical epic inspired by true events that took place in The Kingdom of Dahomey, one of the most powerful states of Africa in the 18th and 19th centuries.
My favorite part of this film had to be the fact that it’s based on a true story. This is a real woman army from Africa back in the day. Viola Davis is such a boss bitch and the representation they had in the film was everything. I heard she had to get ripped for the film too, which makes it WAY better! I would definitely recommend as the go-to movie to see rn. It got 99% on Rotten Tomatoes, which is pretty much as high as you can go.
Lmk if you like it also 🙂
