The celebration for Hip Hop’s 50th birthday continues. This time, it takes place in the Bay Area.

On Sunday, October 15th, EMPIRE teamed up with Too Short to host a special 50 Years of Hip Hop concert in San Francisco. Taking place at SVN West, the highly-anticipated event was hosted by not only Too Short, but longtime radio personalities Sway Calloway and Chuy Gomez.

Taking place both indoors and outdoors, this was a true celebration and nod to Hip Hop culture. Attendees were met with incredible DJs, breakdancing, food, and dope graffiti art. Beyond Too Short as the main act, Mistah F.A.B. and San Quinn graced the stage to perform their Bay Area bangers.

EMPIRE is best known for being the leading independent record label in the music industry, instrumental in launching the careers of a multitude of artists such as Kendrick Lamar, Yung Bleu, Fireboy DML, and Anderson .Paak. In fact, the company was founded in San Francisco, which made the event even more meaningful.
