Ne-Yo celebrated the release of his new album, Highway 79, with a lively evening at a local ranch, bringing together music, community, food, drinks and live activations. The setting matched the spirit of the project, which marks a new creative direction for the Grammy-winning singer as he blends his signature R&B sound with country-inspired influences.

Recorded entirely in Nashville, Highway 79 is Ne-Yo’s 10th studio album and features 11 tracks that incorporate acoustic guitars, twangy instrumentation and Americana touches while maintaining the storytelling and smooth vocals fans know him for. The album’s title pays tribute to both Ne-Yo’s birth year, 1979, and Highway 79 in Arkansas, his home state.

Songs including “Up Out & Gone,” “Simple Things,” “Ms. Tundra” and “Thinking What I’m Thinking” showcase his genre-blending approach, with “Ms. Tundra” leaning into a high-energy, line-dance-ready sound.

Adding to the night’s buzz, Ne-Yo pulled up with his three girlfriends, making for one of the evening’s most talked-about arrivals. Surrounded by guests enjoying the ranch atmosphere and celebrating his latest musical chapter, Ne-Yo made it clear that Highway 79 is about stepping outside his comfort zone while still staying true to himself.
