Hailing from Brooklyn, New York, Corey St. Rose spent this government-mandated quarantine perfecting his first body of work of the year, True Colors. The 12-track EP premieres today exclusively on Flaunt, and features fellow New York rapper Smoove’L, who’s had recent viral success with his 2019 smash “Apollo.” The collaboration between the guys “connected two different sounds in Brooklyn and created a banger,” Corey says.
In 2017, Corey unleashed his debut mixtape titled Vibes, which garnered critical acclaim. Since then, he’s been working relentlessly on more visuals and bangers for his growing fanbase. The new project was spearheaded by the “Julius Caesar” single featuring Smoove’L, and fans have been waiting ever since.
True Colors showcases Corey’s energetic flow with an authentic New York vibe to it. He states, “This project is a soundtrack of my life and something I’ve been working on for a while, so my supporters can really have something polished to enjoy and cherish. This is W for my city, let’s go!“ You can buy and listen here.
