While the world continues to suffer from the aftermath of COVID-19, we all turn to music for comfort and healing. Insert Inigo Pascual, who just released his most impactful collaboration to date. “RISE” features GRAMMY award-winning singer-songwriter Eric Bellinger, Filipino pop star Sam Concepcion, Malaysia’s pride Zee Avi, Manila-based DJ/producer Moophs and BTS’ “Black Swan” co-composer, Vince Nantes.
Inigo Pascual states, “Music is a universal language, it could help bring together people that might not even speak the same language. During COVID or quarantine, people aren’t able to do things they normally do like travel or work, but music is constant. It’s always there to help you cope with any situation you’re going through. For me, not only creating music but listening to music is therapy. During the pandemic, more people are looking to music to stay positive.”
The powerful record is aimed to uplift and inspire the masses, reminding them to rise above the social injustice and pandemic. 2020 has been a whirlwind in itself, and “RISE” reminds you to stay positive, love deeply, and live each day like it’s your last. Transcending the genres of pop and R&B, the cross-cultural message of hope is immediately evident.
The new release was put together by Tarsier Records, an independent record label from Manila. Listen above and keep on rising!
