Sunday, March 25th
Happy Sunday! Sundays were made for bumping old Wiz Khalifa. Kush & OJ man. If you know, you know. Pretty self-explanatory. One of the best mixtapes in Hip Hop history. Also stoner heaven. All I know is I was nostalgic all fucking day.
HOnestly, I’m so fucking grateful for my brothers. Like, they’re my life. We went to get a massage in Alhambra and we all hated it lmao. Tear. The lady fucking asked for a bigger tip. Unreal. We were tight. So we decided to go see Love, Simon at Arclight Pasadena at 9pm. I’m not kidding, we all loved it so much, we could NOT stop talking about it afterward. This movie is 100000% worth going. My brother’s best friend is gay too, so it was literally made for him. The entire film is about a high school kid who has trouble coming out to the world. There are so many great aspects to the film, I don’t even know where to begin.
For starters, the plot: Everyone deserves a great love story, but for 17-year-old Simon Spier, it’s a little more complicated. He hasn’t told his family or friends that he’s gay, and he doesn’t know the identity of the anonymous classmate that he’s fallen for online. Resolving both issues proves hilarious, terrifying and life-changing.
the ticket guy at arclight pasadena just gave us all child tix. THERE ARE GOOD PPL IN THE WORLD.

But first, can we talk about our phenomenal experience at Arclight Pasadena?! First off, you’re talking to an ex-Moviepasser. I already know this theater is the most expensive in all of LA. $17 for a single movie ticket is insane. I boycott this. Somehow, we were blessed with the most chill customer service the entire night. I asked the box office guy if I could get a child’s ticket ($14) and he lets all three of us pass. EVEN FURTHER, he comes over to the ticket ripper to distract him as we’re walking through so we wouldn’t get caught. I wanted to cry lmao. And then the concessions guy milked our popcorn and drinks to the fullest. His manager was on the floor while we were paying and he waited for her to go to the back to fill my bros’ cups of wine to the top. What great humans beings that work here.
ANYWAYS, back to the movie of the year. I don’t want to give it away, you guys just have to go see this. It’s just so damn relatable and real. This brought me right back to high school lmao. There was so much bullshit that took place when we were younger, that we look back on and it’s like wow. Why so serious? Lmao. The film is about a kid who has trouble identifying with his sexual orientation and eventually sacrifices his own friendships to make sure his cover was not blown. It’s so interesting too, he full-on falls in love with another anonymous gay boy… over EMAIL. Gmail at that. I love email. This made me happy as hell lmao.
Jennifer Garner is in it! She plays the mom. You literally can’t lose when she’s in a film. I would definitely say it’s a comedy/drama/romantic story… the best movie of 2018. I honestly didn’t want it to end. It’s an hour and 50 minutes but you don’t even notice the time go by. There were like 10 people in our theater and no one cared if you were talking. Overall such a great night. 2 thumbs up.
