Happy Sunday! Happy Easter. Remembering to cherish every day we have on earth. Didn’t make it to church unfortunately but went to yoga and it did wonders. Finally got a massage with my bros (shout out Panda Foot Massage in Chinatown) and then we went to Edwards Alhambra Renaissance 14 to see Us. FINALLY! Literally haven’t been able to see this movie since it came out a month ago. Life has been crazy 😩
The #1 Movie in America! It's US. #WatchYourself
— Us (@UsMovie) March 25, 2019
This tweet says #1 movie in America and after seeing it, I can understand why. Everyone was talking about this movie! I had friends that went twice. That’s dedication. This is all the mastermind of Jordan Peele, who directed and wrote the whole film. After seeing the trailers, you’re immediately creeped out. It looks likes Get Out, but it’s totally not.
IMDB plot: A family’s serene beach vacation turns to chaos when their doppelgängers appear and begin to terrorize them.
my dumbass walked into Us thinking it was the sequel to Get Out 😩

My dumbass thought it was the sequel to Get Out when I first walked in lmao. So glad my bros clarified that off the rip. This was definitely a horror film, but with Jordan’s touch. The film itself is 2 hours long which is kinda long, but you’re engaged the entire time. All the actors are phenomenal and had this distinct smooth dark complexion… Idk how to describe it. Jordan Peele, I see you though.
In the end, I had to ask my girl what the underline meaning meant lmao. We were lost. She said it’s who you are vs. who you want to me, the subconscious vs. conscious. Which makese sense, but not really. You have to really think about it. This is definitely worth seeing though. I exited the movie to find out a friend from home had passed & it got me fucked up. Life is precious 🙁 spend time with your loved ones.
