Future’s #NobodySafeTour in LA f. Drake, A$AP Ferg, A$AP Rocky, ScHoolboy Q, Migos, 21 Savage & Ty Dolla $ign

June 17, 2017

Tonight was the long-awaited, highly-anticipated #NobodySafeTour headlined by the man, the present, the FUTURE. That was lame lmao. But it’s fucking Future. He is changing the culture. Migos status. I’ve literally watched him catapult to superstar status. If you’re a hater, GTFO. Many call him a mumble rapper, but you can’t deny he makes hit after hit after hit.

This line up is brazy. After working from 9am-7pm, this was the only thing I had to look forward to all day. My girl from the Bay texted me how lit she was just last night. She went to the show up there and was hungover as hell lmao. Not to brag, but this is LA. You bet he’s bringing out special guests. At the ginormous Forum in Inglewood, too. It was about to go down.

It’s my babygirl’s last week at DX and I’m heartbroken lmao. I love you so much, V. You are an angel. This was celebrating her last hoorah. And we had such a great night. I wouldn’t have wanted to share it with anyone else. Huge thanks to Kevin and Deon with Ferg’s team for taking care of us. I interviewed Ferg at the Dopeland skate jam by Traplord. H’e’s literally one of my favorites. I remember they sent me a clip of “New Level” from the Toronto show to post on DX, and I was FOMO-ing hard. Shit was too lit. Shout out to Chase. He captures the only the dopest content.

Unfortunately, we ran into some ticket trouble that set us back. We walk in during Migos‘ set and immediately looked at each other and smiled. We were home. Migos for life. There’s no denying they’re the turn up kings. “What The Price” was only the beginning.

Their entire CULTURE album still goes. Tonight was just a reminder. “Deadz” was next. I actually had some service at this point, so I was able to post.

“Kelly Price” is one of my favs. Banger. Next, they asked where their day one Migos fans were at, proceeding to drop “Hannah Montana” and “Fight Night.” The crowd was LIT. Future was smart af for having these guys open for him.

This was very unexpected, in a good way. Migos brought out 21 Savage for “Gucci On My” by Mike Will Made-It. Not even going to bother with the capitalized letters. That shit pisses me off lmao. I will say that I think his Ransom 2 project is slept on. There are some gems in there.

Young Savage, why you trappin’ so hard? “No Heart” with Metro is straight flames.

Okay I keep saying each song is my favorite, but “T-Shirt” is actually my favorite. Migos could definitely headline their own tour. They had to somehow make all their hits fit into a short set.

“Bad and Boujee.” The song of our generation. Quavo was flossing with a designer fanny pack and Take Off had on his glorious chain which cost half a mil. Unreal. I could literally live off that chain for the next 10 years. Smh. They finished off that record with a dope freestyle of them being out here in LA, and left the crowd turnt to “Handsome and Wealthy.”

There was a bit of an intermission because they had to set up the stage for Future. It was super dope. V asked me if I’d seen Future before and my answer was embarrassing. Prolly over 20x. I see Future on every tour, every festival, every time he comes to LA. I have so many guy friends who list Future as their favorite rapper (currently). He’s fucking talented.

“Itchin'” was only the beginning. I have to shout out Meechie. He’s literally my favorite human being. I met him at one of those Power celebrity basketball games. I always forget he’s one of Future’s dancers. His energy and choreography are indescribable. So entertaining. Meechie for President.

Future’s one of those rappers who has so many fucking hits, he can only play a snippet of each at his shows. I took notes of each one but I’m not even going to bother listing them. “Same Damn Time” definitely had everybody giggin’. He played hits across all his projects: HNDRXX, Dirty Sprite 2,, Purple Reign, 56 Nights, etc.

And then he brings out Ty Dolla $ign for “Blasé.” It was only right in LA. Next, the part I was waiting for all night. “New Level” with A$AP Ferg. My fucking turn up anthem.

Didn’t even notice baby daddy A$AP Rocky in the mix until the very end. True life: we love A$AP Rocky. It’s pure love. I wanted him to perform his own song, but this will do.

Next, DJ Esco finally graces the stage. I was wondering where he was the entier time. “Too Much Sauce” always the vibe. And then ScHoolboy Q. Yassss. Los Angeles, represent. “THat Part.”

I thought Drake was for sure coming out when Future dropped “Used To This.” And then he didn’t and we were like oh well. After a beautiful performance of “Low Life” which features The Weeknd, Drizzy shows face. “Jumpman Jumpman Jumpman.” The crowd went ape shit.

This next part struck a chord with me. First off, Drake said he had to come out of hiding for LA. Honored, Drizzy. Truly. Then he calls Future “one of the most important faces in rap music,” congratulating him on headlining his own tour. So cute. Last time, they headlined a tour together. Future actually came out after Drake on that one, which was brazy to me.

“Gyalchester” is so lit every time he performs it. And I always forget the name and have to look it up. This is the song that’s home to Drake’s famous “I don’t take naps” line.

You know he had to perform “Fake Love.” The crowd knew every word.

Next, he brought Quavo back out for “Portland.” More Life, more everything.

We were fully satisfied at this point. Future kept telling us we were the loudest crowd on the tour so far. V had to hear “Commas,” the record that in my opinion put Future on the map. That was probably the hottest song at the club when it came out. And then my favorite: “March Madness.” We kept trying to dip to beat the crowd, but couldn’t lmao. And then “Mask Off” came on, and we still couldn’t leave.
